Recovery: A Mascot is Born

I know that when I climbed this mountain the day before, I had scraped the underside while going over some ruts. What I didn't know is that I had lost the trailer hitch cover. That morning as I headed to the Great Canadian VW Show in Coquitlam, BC, I noticed that the cover was missing. I knew exactly which trail it was and after the show I went back (the weather was much nicer this time) and found the cover sitting where it landed when it came off. I was pretty happy that I saved myself the $5 or so it would have cost me to replace it!
