This is the first time I've taken the Sequoia
out on the trails when it was actually raining. Creeks that were just a trickle
during the drought of summer were filled with rushing water. Although the
weather forecast had been for afternoon sunny breaks, the weather turned quite
stormy and rain fell heavily.
I went
to pick up more stones for our garden and this
is the quarry at 16 km on the Lost Creek FSR where I get them. On the night of
October 11, there were conservation officers checking traffic in and out of the
trail, but they weren't there the next morning.
