Disclaimer: I assume no responsibility for
any modifications you do on your car. If you don't feel comfortable working with
automotive electrical wiring I suggest you let someone with some experience do
these modifications. Laws in your country/state/region/ may not allow you to
modify systems such as the lighting system on your car. Always check with your
local authorities.
To have DRL or not to have DRL has been the subject of many flame
wars. I am familiar with arguments on both sides and I
have decided to take the path of free choice. I will turn on my
headlights when conditions warrant it.
I like having control over the headlights, but I
have to admit it's annoying when I have turn
them on during the day because
the interior lights go dim and it's difficult to see certain indicators
(like the climate control) on the
dash. Poor interior design, IMO.
The procedure is non-permanent and easily reversible.
There is an electrical connector in the engine compartment between the battery
and inner fender liner. Disconnect this plug and you will disable the DRLs.

 Tight
fit
I loosened the battery and
moved it out of the way a bit
to get better access. |
 All
taped up
After I disconnected the plug,
I taped it all up to protect it from
the elements. |
